A FEW WORDS FROM ROBERT HARRIS, BUSINESS ENGAGEMENT ADVISOR, ON JOHN WEAVER CONTRACTORS’ EMPLOYER OF THE MONTH NOMINATION…

“John Weaver Contractors (JWC) has been engaging with the Business Development Unit at Neath College since 2021 although have been actively involved with NPTC for many years with regards to apprentices.

During that time John Weaver employees have attended Fire Door Awareness Courses (both fitters and supervisory) and Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW).

John Weaver Contractors is an active member of the Swansea Bay Construction Support Group with John being vice chairman. The relationship with SBCSG, John Weaver’s and NPTC Group of colleges is growing and growing.

John Weaver Contractors is one of the main construction contractors in Wales and deal with all types of construction contracts including Conservation, New Build, Extensions and Refurbishment work in the following sectors:

  • Healthcare
  • Education”

A FEW WORDS FROM JOHN WEAVER CONTRACTORS ON THEIR EMPLOYER EXPERIENCE:

“Training received via NPTC Group has always been first class.

My dealings with Robert in regard to the availability and the arrangement of training courses have been both easy and pleasant.

At the present time eight of our PAYE Carpenters have attended a fire door fitters course both theory and practical and four of our Site / Project Managers plus myself have attended the supervisors course more will attend in due course.

Feedback from attendees has been excellent with all saying that Roy Evans, who delivers the theory (awareness) training, has a passion and excellent knowledge in regard to the course making it a pleasant and worthwhile experience when attending. Also Anthony Richards, who invigilates and assesses the fitting (practical) element, is very helpful and informative.

The same can be said for the EFAW courses our employees have attended at the College with attendees providing feedback informing of an excellent, well presented course.”
