What is ReAct+ Funding?

ReAct+ is a Welsh Government programme designed to help unemployed adults aged 20 and over return to sustainable employment. It offers tailored support to remove barriers to work, including:

  • Vocational training grants
  • Help with care and childcare costs
  • Support for travel and other training-related expenses

The programme is delivered in partnership with Working Wales, ensuring individuals receive the right guidance and resources to upskill and re-enter the workforce confidently.

Who is Eligible?

Support for the ReAct+ funding scheme is available for individuals who:

  • Have been made redundant within the last 6 months
  • Are under formal notice of redundancy
  • Are a serving or recently released offender (within 6 months)
  • Are a resident in Wales at the time of redundancy and application
  • Are aged 20 or over
  • Have the right to live and work in the UK
What is Available?

ReAct+ offers a range of financial support to help you get back into work:

  • Vocational Training Grant: Up to £1,500 for approved training courses
  • Extra Support Grant: Up to £200 for travel, accommodation, or other training-related costs
  • Care and Childcare Support: Up to £2,100 for registered care while you train
How to Apply?

If you wish to apply for ReAct+ funding, you first need to contact Working Wales by calling 0800 028 4844, where an adviser will assess your circumstances and determine whether ReAct+ is the right support for you.

Applications should be made electronically and submitted to the Welsh Government. You will be asked to upload documents to confirm your eligibility as outlined above. The Working Wales adviser can tell you what documents you will need.
