With the growing importance of transitioning to a low-carbon economy, there is an increasing demand for training on the principles of net zero. This project aims to provide employers with tailored support and information relating to Net Zero Skills Development by providing information to employers about opportunities across the region for upskilling workforce and how these skills could support their organisation towards Net Zero.

Project Goals

  • To support businesses to save money, with improved skills choices supporting a reduction.
  • To providing links and insight to students interested in developing green businesses in the region through the links between academia, business, and the colleges ‘Centreprise’ support services.
  • To reduce the reported lack of expertise by upskilling the workforce across Powys.
  • To reduce information gaps, plug the infrastructure, and increase capabilities of businesses through improved co-ordination and networking.
  • To promote the opportunities for employment to increase number of graduating students remaining within Powys.
