Level 2 Mechanical Engineering (Full-Time)

Course Overview

This Engineering Programme (L2 PEO) is a full-time course that is based over one year. It is a pre-apprenticeship course which is designed to enable students to gain an apprenticeship at the end of the Mechanical engineering is a dynamic and ever-evolving field that plays a critical role in shaping our world. As a mechanical engineer, you will have the opportunity to design and develop innovative solutions to real-world problems, from improving energy efficiency to designing cutting-edge technology.

Through the PEO Mechanical course at a NPTC group, you will gain hands-on experience and practical skills that will prepare you for a successful career in this exciting field. You will have access to state-of-the-art facilities and work alongside our experienced staff who will guide you in honing your skills and pursuing your passions.

By studying mechanical engineering at NPTC group, you will be part of a community of problem solvers and future innovators who are dedicated to making a positive impact on society. Whether you are interested in manufacturing , research and development, Inspection or any other area of mechanical engineering, the possibilities are endless.

This Engineering Programme covers basic knowledge, understanding and skills that are relevant to a wide variety of careers and study routes within the engineering industry and takes a hands on approach to basic engineering training. There are both practical and theoretical classes in Milling, Turning and fitting with additional CAD and CNC units as well as health and safety, engineering drawing, and communicating engineering information with an Additional group tutorial.
Join us in the world of mechanical engineering and discover your potential to create, innovate, and inspire.

The content and structure of the qualification has been developed to provide learners with a comprehensive skills and knowledge needed to do the job, ability to organise work and identify and prevent problems to the practices and processes of engineering. The achievement of NVQs will encourage an employee to value their contribution to the workplace, and it will develop their skills and potential. It covers basic knowledge, understanding and skills that are relevant to a wide variety of careers and study routes within the engineering industry and takes a hands on approach to basic engineering training.

There are both practical and theoretical classes in Milling, Turning and Fitting with additional CAD, CNC and 3D printing units as well as health and safety, engineering drawing, and communicating engineering information with an Additional group tutorial.
