The RLSP are undertaking a survey to help us make sure YOUR voices are heard on a number of important issues across the region.

Since we last published the Employment and Skills Plan for the South West Wales region there has been a huge change in the way people work; the types of jobs on offer and more importantly perhaps the skills now required by industry to drive forward their businesses in a post pandemic world. The turbulent times that many have faced over the last two years has meant that new skills have been identified as a key requirement for businesses and it is therefore more important than ever that we ensure that we are delivering the right skills in our colleges and universities; through our apprenticeship provision and through the vocational offer in schools. YOUR involvement in the Employment and Skills Plan for 2022-2025 is KEY to ensuring that we inform Welsh Government what skills are required in our area and where their funding needs to be allocated in order to fulfil the skills demands identified.
Many hundreds of businesses from across the region have been engaged with the Regional Learning and Skills Partnership (RLSP) not only through our on line skills survey but through our Industry sector cluster groups, an opportunity for everyone to have their say about skills and discuss future skills needs as industries develop. We thank you for your involvement and hope that you will continue in the dialogue with the RLSP and have your say in the plan that we are preparing now.
For the thousands of micro, small, medium and large businesses in the region who have not previously engaged with the RLSP, we are one of four skills partnerships in Wales working across the region to understand the key skills priorities that face industries on our regions. We use this information to inform the Employment and Skills Plan which is used by Welsh Government to inform the funding allocation for training in Wales and particularly in our region. We would be really grateful if you would join us in the RLSP to ensure that we can have your voice included in our plan- you can join an industry cluster group or complete the online survey or just contact us to have a discussion.
The RLSP is also leading on the Skills and Talent Programme for the Swansea Bay City Deal Programme, with funding for key pilot project to develop those innovative training solutions for courses not delivered in our area currently, you can be involved through connecting with the RLSP in our cluster groups or surveys.

We want to exceed our target of engagement this year and we would like to hear from at least 2000 businesses about what you would like to see happen on skills development in our region.

Ers i ni gyhoeddi’r Cynllun Cyflogaeth a Sgiliau ar gyfer rhanbarth De-orllewin Cymru, bu newid enfawr yn y ffordd y mae pobl yn gweithio; y mathau o swyddi sydd ar gael ac, yn bwysicach efallai, y sgiliau sydd eu hangen bellach gan ddiwydiant i hybu eu busnesau ar ôl y pandemig. Mae’r cyfnod cythryblus y mae llawer wedi’i wynebu dros y ddwy flynedd ddiwethaf wedi golygu bod sgiliau newydd wedi’u nodi fel gofyniad allweddol i fusnesau ac felly mae’n bwysicach nag erioed ein bod yn sicrhau ein bod yn darparu’r sgiliau cywir yn ein colegau a’n prifysgolion; drwy ein darpariaeth prentisiaethau a thrwy’r cynnig galwedigaethol mewn ysgolion. Mae eich cyfranogiad CHI yn y Cynllun Cyflogaeth a Sgiliau ar gyfer 2022-2025 yn ALLWEDDOL i sicrhau ein bod yn rhoi gwybod i Lywodraeth Cymru pa sgiliau sydd eu hangen yn ein hardal a ble mae angen iddynt ddyrannu eu cyllid er mwyn bodloni’r gofynion sgiliau a nodwyd.
Mae cannoedd o fusnesau o bob rhan o’r rhanbarth wedi bod yn ymgysylltu â’r Bartneriaeth Dysgu a Sgiliau Ranbarthol (RLSP) nid yn unig drwy ein harolwg sgiliau ar-lein ond drwy ein grwpiau clwstwr yn y sector Diwydiant, sy’n gyfle i bawb ddweud eu dweud am sgiliau a thrafod anghenion sgiliau yn y dyfodol wrth i ddiwydiannau ddatblygu. Diolch ichi am eich cyfranogiad a gobeithiwn y byddwch yn parhau yn y ddeialog â’r Bartneriaeth Dysgu a Sgiliau Ranbarthol ac yn dweud eich dweud yn y cynllun yr ydym yn ei baratoi ar hyn o bryd.
Ar gyfer y miloedd o fusnesau micro, bach, canolig a mawr yn y rhanbarth nad ydynt eisoes wedi ymwneud â’r Bartneriaeth Dysgu a Sgiliau Ranbarthol, rydym yn un o bedair partneriaeth sgiliau yng Nghymru sy’n gweithio ar draws y rhanbarth i ddeall y blaenoriaethau allweddol o ran sgiliau y mae diwydiannau yn ein rhanbarthau yn eu hwynebu. Rydym yn defnyddio’r wybodaeth hon i lywio’r Cynllun Cyflogaeth a Sgiliau a ddefnyddir gan Lywodraeth Cymru i lywio’r broses o ddyrannu cyllid ar gyfer hyfforddiant yng Nghymru ac yn enwedig yn ein rhanbarth. Byddem yn ddiolchgar iawn pe baech yn ymuno â ni yn y Bartneriaeth Dysgu a Sgiliau Ranbarthol i sicrhau y gallwn gynnwys eich llais yn ein cynllun. Gallwch ymuno â grŵp clwstwr diwydiant neu gwblhau’r arolwg ar-lein neu gysylltu â ni i gael trafodaeth.
Mae’r Bartneriaeth Dysgu a Sgiliau Ranbarthol hefyd yn arwain ar y Rhaglen Sgiliau a Thalentau ar gyfer Rhaglen Bargen Ddinesig Bae Abertawe, gyda chyllid ar gyfer prosiect peilot allweddol i ddatblygu’r atebion hyfforddi arloesol hynny ar gyfer cyrsiau nad ydynt yn cael eu darparu yn ein hardal ar hyn o bryd. Gallwch gymryd rhan drwy gysylltu â’r Bartneriaeth Dysgu a Sgiliau Ranbarthol yn ein grwpiau clwstwr neu arolygon.
