My industry experience was heavily focused on HR, customer service and sales, which led to a career in learning and development, spanning 15 years within work-based learning and the development, delivery and quality assurance of business-related courses demanded by industry.
My goal is to ‘Inspire Learning, Enrich Lives and Deliver Success’ for individuals and organisations through the services, support, consultancy and mentoring we offer at NPTC Group of Colleges.
I am BA Hons Degree educated and have come from a social intervention background, working with employers providing tailored solutions for both training and recruitment across South Wales. I am proud to have received accolades for my work including awards in Customer Service. I am passionate about skills and developing people to reach their potential.

I have 16 years experience working in customer service, administration, business, and management roles.
Most of my career has been in management in a leading insurance company with a strong culture where customer satisfaction is a forefront of all decision making.

Robert joined the Business Development Team in July 2017 and specialises in training solutions for the Creative and Visual Performance sector as well as Sports and Leisure, Public Services and Health and Social Care .
Robert has 29 years industry experience in Leisure and Sport Management and is a qualified Sports Instructor in Martial Arts and Swimming.
Robert holds an ILM Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management, NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, ISM Management Diploma, IOSH and CIEH Advanced Health and Safety, and Level 3 Plant and Filtration systems. He enjoys a challenge and excels at identifying customer needs and providing solutions.
By working with and supporting teams and individuals, I have seen increases in confidence, capability, knowledge, experience and productivity in their roles. Since joining the college in 2018 I have engaged with over 450 organisations providing a range of training and development opportunities in all business sectors.
My background in business, training development, area management, sales and customer care gave me many skills which have been put to good use over the last 4 years. My knowledge of commercial business, third sector and wider community in Mid Wales has continued to grow and I am proud to be an ambassador for the college and a judge for the Powys Business Awards for the last 3 years.
During recent times of unprecedented change, I have worked alongside customers to take advantage of new modes of training and course provision. This has been extremely successful for both businesses and charities at a time when support and funding was needed more than ever.
I look forward to continuing my work within the business community; identifying and resolving current and future training and development needs and I remain committed to ensuring that quality, consistency and striving for excellence is delivered.

Working closely with the Business Engagement Advisors and the college schools I deal with business and learner enquiries from a variety of sectors. I pride myself on delivering excellent customer service and ensure that the learners needs are priority.
I am a fluent Welsh speaker, and offer a bilingual customer experience to the learner.
Providing client support in Health & Social Care and working in Research and Resource Management has given me a strong focus to deliver excellent customer service.
