Course Overview

This accredited course provides operators with the essential skills to safely and efficiently operate a counterbalance lift truck (commonly known as a forklift). Training includes both theory and practical elements, with assessments to ensure competence. This course is ideal for novice, experienced, and returning operators looking to operate a counterbalance lift truck.

    - Observation / personal safety
    - Use of controls
    - Moving off, stopping & safe parking
    - Hydraulic control & systems
    - Maintenance
    - Negotiating ramps
    - Lorry loading & unloading
    - Fuelling procedures; Gas, Diesel, Petrol or Battery
    - P.P.E
    - Driving Skills / Operational Skills
    - Regulations / Code of practice
    - Theory & Practical assessment

    This qualification is assessed via an exam.
