Level 4 AAT Diploma in Accounting AQ2022 (Part-Time)

Course Overview

AAT (The Association of Accounting Technicians) Courses offered give students the opportunity to gain experience and to progress in their accounting careers. Courses consist of three levels. Each level represents a qualification in its own right.

Students receive a certificate for each level achieved. Registration with AAT is required and the cost of this is paid directly to the professional body.

This qualification covers complex accounting and finance topics and tasks leading to students becoming confident with a wide range of financial management skills and applications. Students will gain competencies in drafting financial statements for limited companies, recommending accounting systems strategies and constructing and presenting complex management accounting reports.

Units include Applied Management Accounting, Drafting and Interpreting Financial Statements and Internal Systems and Controls, plus 2 additional units that include Audit and Assurance and Personal Tax which will provide a good breadth of understanding for the new accounting employee or those wishing to enter the accounting environment.

AAT Approved

  • Entry Requirements

    Level 3 AAT Qualification or similar

  • Summary of Outcomes

    These qualifications are intended for learners over the age of 16 in a wide range of settings but primarily working within an accounting or financial setting. Progression to ACCA or CIMA.

  • Course Modules

    Delivered throughout the academic year for 1 day per week.

    This course runs on Wednesdays from 9:00am until 17:00pm.
    Newtown and Brecon students join remotely. All examinations are undertaken at the nearerst site. This course can be studied online simultaneously with those students attending face to face

  • Method of Assessment

    Externally set online examinations which embrace all areas of study. On successful completion of the Level 4 qualification, students will be invited to graduation in order to celebrate their achievement.

  • Additional Costs

    There is a £350 exam fee although this is reviewed each August by AAT and might increase.
