Intermediate Plastering (Part-Time)

Course Overview

Building on the skills learned from Plastering 101, delegates will use the same beginners’ bay, at this level, delegates will focus on the relationship between speed and accuracy to increase overall performance and spread rate, heading towards independence and real-world obstacles.
This course is delivered using a practical approach in professional workshops under the direction of qualified and experienced plastering experts.

  • Entry Requirements

    Delegates are required to have a certain level of strength and fitness as drylining and plastering demands. E.g. to be able to work as a team of at least two to handle a bag of plaster to be able to mix it, lift plaster boards sometimes above their head and work for approximately 2 hours straight with limited breaks/downtime.

  • Summary of Outcomes

    Successful delegates will gain the opportunity to progress onto the intermediate+ or Advanced Plastering courses.
    On successful completion of this course, delegates will receive a discount on purchasing Makita power tools from Data Power tools in Cardiff or Swansea. They will also receive a discount voucher for Marshall Town tools SB Tools online.

    This course covers:
    • Working towards consistent spread thickness
    • Applying plaster to multiple walls at the same time
    • Measuring the water to plaster ratio
    • Mixing plaster independently with less guidance
    • Overall building your confidence to work more independently, faster, cleaner, smarter whilst working within safety guidelines.
