ILM Leadership and Management Award Level 5 (Part-Time)

Course Overview

This course is suited to project managers, department heads and other practising middle managers who are looking to develop their ability to lead, motivate and inspire their teams.

This course enables the individual to develop their skills and experience, improve performance and prepare for senior management responsibilities by providing strategic leadership as well as day-to-day management.

This course includes interactive workshops and personal research. The research and course content will cover the required guided learning hours.

  • Entry Requirements

    There are no formal entry requirements, but individuals will be either managers or supervisors who are able to meet the assessment demands and have a background that will enable them to benefit from the programme.

    Individuals will be interviewed prior to programme start to ensure that they are comfortable with the assessment requirements.

  • Course Modules

    This course covers the following topics:
    - Underpinning Workshop sessions 1, 2 and 3 – Becoming an Effective Leader
    - Underpinning Workshop sessions 4, 5 and 6 - Developing and Leading Teams to Achieve Organisational Goals and Objectives

  • Method of Assessment

    Delegates will complete 1 x 2,000 word reflective review on Becoming an Effective Leader and 1 x 2,000 word work based assignment on Developing and Leading Teams to Achieve Objectives. Full guidance with course-specific workbooks will be provided.
