Funding to help upskill your workforce
In response to the ongoing impact of Covid-19 on the economic wellbeing of Wales, colleges across the further education sector have come together with WEFO (Welsh European Funding Office) to develop a package of support to help and assist businesses during this time.
With the support of ESF (European Social Fund) funding, further education colleges in Wales will now be offering local businesses accredited training and development qualifications for their staff, ranging from Levels 1 to 6 that are 100% subsidised through three regional projects. One of these projects is Upskilling@Work.
What is Upskilling@Work?
Upskilling@Work is a funded operation supported by the European Social Fund through the Welsh Government. It is part of a pan-Wales operation designed to enhance skills and increase productivity in the workplace, providing opportunities for employers to gain accredited qualifications for their workforce.
Business Benefits
The success of your business is dependent on the skills of your staff. This project allows employers to improve the knowledge and qualifications of their employees in industry-specific areas. NPTC Group of Colleges will work with businesses of all sizes to meet individual requirements and identify suitable staff to develop a bespoke training plan. The training and assessing of the qualification can be delivered onsite and is flexible to the needs of the individual company, therefore minimising loss of production time.

Eligibility
Any employer within the area can apply for funding and employees must be:
- European Union Citizen and eligible to work in the UK
- Over 16 years of age
