Manual Handling All Wales Passport (Part-Time)

Course Overview

By attending this course, the learner will be provided with the most current information relating to Manual Handling. Learners will be able to practice their skills and more importantly implement them in the workplace, to maintain safety of themselves and others.

This course meets the All Wales Induction Framework and QCF standards. Learners undertaking their QCF can be provided with information that will support their units.

  • Summary of Outcomes

    This course is for anyone working in the Health and Social Care industry. This course can also be adapted to meet the standards of the NHS All Wales Passport Scheme.

  • Course Modules

    The course will cover:

    • Legislation relating to Manual Handling
    • Muscle-Skeletal Injuries/disorders
    • The purpose and use of risk assessments
    • Safe techniques & practice using a variety of equipment

  • Method of Assessment

    Learners will undergo formative assessments throughout the course, along with practical based work and a short multiple-choice assessment
