Gain a nationally recognised accounting qualification with the AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting, awarded by the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT). The qualification is designed to help you start your journey as an accounting professional by building core knowledge and practical skills. It supports progression into entry-level accounting roles and provides a clear route to higher AAT qualifications.

This course is suitable for learners aged 16 and over who want to begin or develop a career in accounting.

What you will learn
You will gain a solid foundation in finance administration and core accounting skills, including
• Double-entry bookkeeping and how to record and process financial transactions
• Understanding purchase, sales and general ledgers and the business environment
• Basic costing techniques
On completion, you will gain a strong foundation in finance administration and essential accounting skills to support entry-level roles or further study

Summary of Outcomes
These qualifications are intended for learners over the age of 16 in a wide range of settings but primarily working within an accounting or financial setting. Progression to AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting.
