Course Overview
This course is for any employees who have responsibilities within the workplace to undertake fire safety requirements. This course will provide learners with the knowledge and skills to carry out designated duties as a Fire Warden or Fire Marshall.
This course covers the following topics:
-How fires are caused
-Components of the fire triangle
-Fire hazards
-Fire and smoke spread
-Controlling the hazards
-Means of escape
-Fire detection and raising the alarm
-Safe use of equipment
-Firefighting systems
-Duties of employers
-Duties of employees
-Fire safety inspection
-Fire risk assessment
-Role of the fire warden
-Fire safety briefing
If you are over 19 and are currently living in Wales you could be eligible for a FREE course under the Welsh Government Personal Learning Accounts (PLA) funding. We can discuss funding with you upon enquiry.

Entry Requirements
This qualification is available to learners aged 18 years or over. Learners must have the literacy skills to be able to read and self-learn the reference manual and additional resources.
The learner will need access to a computer with an internet connection in order to access the distance learning resources and communicate with the Trainer/Assessor. -
