  • Summary of Outcomes

As of July 2022, there were over 520,000 battery-electric cars in the UK and in 2021-22 there was a 92% increase in electrical vehicle registrations on 2020. This figure is predicted to grow steadily.
As the number of battery-electric cars increases so does the need to rapidly expand the electrical vehicle charging (EV charging) infrastructure from circa 35,500 charge points across the UK network to 500,000 charge points by 2030.
The growth in electrical vehicle charging (EV charging) infrastructure presents a significant opportunity and the industry must ensure the workforce is skilled to install and maintain this infrastructure safely and efficiently.

  • Course Modules
